SNEHA VEEDU

Amrita Vidyalayam, Kuthuparamba was part of the “Sneha Veedu” project initiated by the Bharat Scouts and Guides which aims at serving society by building houses for the homeless. For the funding of this project, they have planned to collect newspapers from all the schools, NGO’s and reading clubs in the subdistrict of Thalassery. Students and parents of our school with their kind heart contributed significantly for this good cause. We were surprised when the organizers incidentally turned the handing over ceremony of the newspapers at our school into an inauguration function of the project at the subdistrict level on January 6, 2023. Smt. O.K. Biji Mol, AEO, Kuthuparamba, in her inaugural speech at the function, appreciated the efficiency of our students and requested their active participation in the forthcoming endeavours of this project. She also stressed the need to find the homeless and needy in our locality, and to help them. Our parents, students, teachers and non-teaching staff have always been compassionate and have been part of such charity work, and we plan to continue this activity for the betterment of our society.
