On the 6th, 7th and 8th of February, 2015, the Scouts and Guides Local Association Rally was organized at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School at Kolayad. Although this rally is organised every alternate year, our school was participating in it for the very first time. It was a three day residential camp, and 33 students (16 boys and 17 girls) and 3 teachers from our school participated in it.
The three days spent at St. Xavier’s School was a wonderful experience for the students. They built tents for themselves, took part in various cultural activities, folk songs, folk dances, aerobics and many other games that were designed by the organizers. Besides these programmes, a ceremonial parade and rally from the school to Kolayad town was also organised. A Pageant Show was another attraction of this programme. Our students performed exceptionally well in all the activities, and managed to get third place out of a total of 16 schools.
