The Onam celebration at Amrita Vidyalayam Kuthuparamba was a vibrant and joyous affair, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Students arrived dressed in attractive traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A stunning huge Pookalam was created near the school entrance by higher class students. Additionally, class-wise Pookalam competitions were organized for other classes, with winners receiving awards. The stage was beautifully decorated in a traditional manner, reflecting the spirit of Onam. The celebration featured various cultural programs, including Thiruvathira, Ona Pattu (traditional Onam songs), and other traditional performances. Several fun-filled games and activities were organized, such as tug-of-war for higher class students, musical chairs, and a frog jump for the KG section, adding to the excitement.
A traditional Ona Sadya was arranged in each class, allowing students to savour the flavours of Kerala’s festive cuisine.
