On June 12, 2024, we observed World Day Against Child Labour with a series of activities which aimed at raising awareness to save children from child labour and promoting the importance of education. Collage making and colouring activities were the highlights of the event. Students from grades VI to VIII engaged in the collage making activity through which they expressed their views on eradicating child labour. ‘A World Without Child Labour’ was the theme for the event, combining imagination and creativity by the children. Grade 2 children participated in the colouring activity, where pre-drawn illustrations depicting children in school engaging in various activities were provided. The goal of this activity was to educate, engage, and develop motor skills. The event was a resounding success, raising awareness and empowering students to think critically about children’s rights. The creative outputs of these activities were displayed around the school.
