Revering the mother, the ultimate epitome of love and affection was the theme of the pious ceremony that was performed at our school on January 1st, 2024. On this day, Saraswathi pooja was performed, and to bless us, we had with us Swami Amritakripananda Puri. Students of 10th and 12th were seated in the prayer hall. Swamiji started the pooja by offering flowers at the lotus feet of Amma, and sang bhajans. The entire prayer hall was filled with a divine feeling of spirituality. The pooja ended with distribution of prasadam.
After the Pooja, Swamiji inaugurated the Arts and Crafts exhibition arranged by students of Amrita. The Art room was abuzz with excitement and fervour as it showcased the handicrafts of our students in their myriad hues. The display ranged from pencil drawing, glass painting, paper flowers, stitching, bottle art etc. which showed the best creativity of our students.
In the afternoon, teachers were given an enrichment class. Swamiji was the mind behind the theme and was the resource person. In his characteristic style, he articulated innovative ideas for the teachers to empower and transform the lives of their students. The thrust of the topic was to help teachers to transform themselves to become inspired teachers, who in turn would inspire the students to become potential leaders to pursue a great cause. The session concluded by 3.30 pm.
