Yoga is an exercise practiced for good health and relaxation. It helps an individual to relax physically and mentally. The working group of C20 which focuses on Integrated Holistic Health encourages practicing Yoga. June 21, 2023 is observed as International Yoga Day. Our school celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day under the theme, “Yoga for Vasudaiva Kudumbakam” or “Yoga for the welfare of all as one Earth, one family, one future”.
At our school, students from grades 4 to 12 performed yoga under the guidance of their yoga teacher Ms. Anjali. They were divided into three sections. Altogether 339 students participated in the event. The session started with a speech on the importance of yoga, followed by Aum chanting warm up, Surya Namaskara, Bhramari and Ma Aum meditation.
