Civil 20 (C20) is one of the several official Engagement Groups of G20 which provides a space for Civil Society Organizations (CSO), also known as non-profit or non-governmental organizations, to voice the people’s aspirations to the world’s leaders in G20. This year, G20 is organised under the Presidency of India, from December 1, 2022 until November 30, 2023.

Amma, the Chair of C20 has advised yoga and meditation to be made part of our daily life through this 999 Challenge which has turned out to be an inspiration to the entire world.
Amrita Vidyalayam, in coordination with Civil Society 20, conducted the 999 Challenge from Feb 2 to 13, 2023 at our school campus. Students completed 9 rounds of Surya Namaskara, and 9 minutes of meditation for 9 days under the guidance of their Yoga Teacher, Mrs. Charishma Jayan.
As yoga is the best way to keep our body healthy and maintain peace of mind, it is also a right solution to overcome the challenges and tribulations in life. Let us take this challenge as an initiative for integrated holistic health care, and be a part of this big yagna.
