In the present scenario when drug usage and addiction to social media are on the rise among students, our school arranged a session for classes 8 to 12 to create awareness against these social evils. It was held on Aug 27th, 2022 in the school prayer hall.
Shri Rajeevan ,ASI – Maloor who has 10 years of experience in this field, led the session with expertise. He explained the side effects of drugs and warned the students about how it can lead to serious mental illness, addiction and destroy one’s life. He also shared his experience of meeting various drug addicts who had fallen into the trap of this social evil, spoiled their life and now regret their ruthless actions.
The session also focused on mobile addiction and how over usage leads to memory loss. He warned the students about the predators on social media and mentioned the importance of staying away from social networks.
Shri Rajeevan emphasized the need of saying ‘NO’ to drugs and leading a happy, healthy life. Moreover, the magic tricks displayed by him in between kept the session lively.
Overall, the awareness class was informative and interesting. All the students realized the threat in front of them and took a pledge not to indulge in any such social evil.
