On July 31st, 2015, students of classes IX and X attended an awareness class on the ill-effects of drugs, alcohol and pan parag. Sri K.K. Kuttikrishnan, Assistant Inspector of Excise, Kannur, was our chief guest and instructor.
Sri Kuttikrishnan spoke about the problems caused by drugs in society as well our personal lives. He said that although these topics are not part of the academic syllabus at present, it will definitely become part of it as well as the PSC Examinations in the future. He informed the students that the government is planning to ban alcohol completely. He also spoke to them about various health issues, and about thiamine, a vitamin which helps to develop intelligence. He advised students to stay away from all these products. He also cleared all the doubts that the students had about the topic.
