Our school participated in the Samridhi Karshika Mela at Peralassery on the 15th and 16th of January, 2015. We also had a stall at the Mela where we displayed vegetables grown in our school, and seeds and pickles made by our school.
We received a total of Rs. 8,270 from this sale. The amount that we received has been earmarked for buying a computer for the visually challenged persons we had decided to help under the Nalla Padam project.
On the 16th, students from classes III to XII were taken to the Mela. The Karshika Mela also organised seminars in the evening on different topics. Flower shows were also organised by them.
Many dignitaries like Agriculture Minister Sri K.P Mohanan, and Assistant Collector Ms. Haritha also visited the Mela, which added to the enthusiasm of the people.
