Run Kerala Run

Billed as one of the most popular runs, ‘Run Kerala Run’ was organized by the Kerala Government to promote the 35th National Games which is being hosted by Kerala from 31st January to 14th February, 2015.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Kuthuparamba also played its role on this memorable day by organizing a run. Mr. Manjush, national badminton player, was the chief guest of the occasion. Mr. Vinod and Mrs. Geetha, ward councillor were the other chief guests.

The morning of the 20th of January was quite exciting as the energy level of every student and staff member was high in expectation of the run. The students were lined up in the ground in a particular order. Students with the ‘Run Kerala Run’ banner were in the front with the band set behind them, followed by students with the school banner, scouts and guides, students in track suites, and students in Karate dress. The rest of the students in their school uniforms followed this group.

After the inaugural session at 10:20a.m, our Chief Guest Mr. Manjush flagged off the ‘Run Kerala Run’ campaign. All the teaching and non-teaching staff and students along with our Principal and chief guests started the run immediately after the flag-off. We moved towards Pookode and then ran 200mts towards Panoor road. We then took a U-turn and moved towards Thalassery road. The participants were very enthusiastic and their energy level was high. We were very happy as we had passed on the message of the run to all our students and to the public.
