Communicative English Enhancement Programme

As part of the Communicative English Enhancement Programme, some students were chosen as members of the Students’ English Council (SEC). The selection of students was done by taking into consideration certain criteria like academic excellence, fluency and knowledge of the English language and general capability.

The SEC comprises of 122 student members and is headed by 2 DGEs (Director General of English). There are also 15 ADGs (Assistant Director General of English, 15 IGEs (Inspector General of English), 30 CEs (Commissioners of English), and 30 SEs (Superintendant of English), and the remaining are IEs (Inspector of English).

The SEC was constituted in order to enhance the quality of English and to promote better English speaking skills among students.
