Amrita Vidyalayam, Kuthuparamba has launched various charitable projects namely Amrita Nidhi & Amrita Seva with an intention to inculcate values like love, compassion, benevolence etc. among its students and thereby moulding a great society. These projects were inaugurated at the School premises on 24/8/13 (Saturday).
Amrita Nidhi & Amrita Seva aim at helping 2 or 3 economically backward students who are presently studying in the school, one passed out student (for higher education) and two of the grieved staff’s children. It too would try to meet the needs of the diseased, poor & homeless as noted from newspapers.
Money received from Ist stage of integrated farming amounting to Rs 25,000 was passed on to Amrita Seva project and an amount of Rs 2000 received while selling of waste paper and Gurupoornima Day Dakshina collection was the initial amount deposited into the Amrita Nidhi charity box.
‘Harithamritham’- The 2nd stage of Krishi Bhavan’s ‘Niravu’ project too was launched at the function. Mrs. Suja Karat, Agricultural Officer of Kuthuparamba inaugurated the project by distributing seeds to the student representative and guided them in sowing it. This project aims at promoting organic farming among children without using pesticides. She too distributed ‘Kerala Karshakan’ magazine to the student subscribers.
Mathrubhoomi’s ‘Seed’ project was also officially launched at the function. Malayala Manorama reporter Mr. Dhanjayan offered felicitation and graced the occasion.
